We are a thriving global media network and part of one of the world’s leading communications groups. We work with a wide range of clients, including lots of household name brands.

The role

Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, it is expected that they should be able to
‘hit the ground running’, and for the most part be able to manage their team autonomously, and
be a key senior contact for clients. You will ideally have had valuable exposure to a broad range
of channels and activations (Digital / Brand / Performance)

• Full understanding of key platforms (e.g. Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, DV360, Google Analytics), and an ability to talk independently about opportunities in client meetings and with internal teams
• Translate client business challenges and goals into media strategies with clearly defined objectives, KPI’s and targets
• Lead any new requests from clients including budget allocation, briefing specialist teams, coordinating the response across channels, and presenting plans/proposals to clients
• Create media plans/forecasts and testing roadmaps in partnership with specialist channel activation teams: Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, Display and Social
• Keep on top of current market trends, media usage, audience behaviors and competitor activity to inform client campaign planning
• Demonstrate an understanding of the media and technology developments that influence performance planning, and inform clients of potential risks or innovative opportunities
• Inform clients of innovative opportunities as soon as they are in market
• Ensure excellent relationships with other agency partners and media owners
• Responsible for accuracy and quality of work being produced by all teams in relation to clients under your supervision.
• Reviewing and tracking monthly campaign performance across all channels.
• Lead senior-level client meetings concerning campaign activity e.g. QBRs / Annual Strategy.
• Identify new cross sell opportunities and channel expansion, as well as other forms of incremental revenue generation e.g. attribution, analytics, creative asset production
• Responsible for the effective management of finance processes of the team including defining and booking fees/commission and maintaining monthly billing/invoice trackers.
• Responsible for maintaining client profitability by reviewing team resource and time sheets against hours in scope for each client, and renegotiating fees if/when required.
• Develop contact strategy with senior clients; creating strong relationships with key client stakeholders with appreciation of their objectives and different approaches required
• Ensure responses to all client briefs and requests are completed in a timely, professional and efficient manner
• Passionate about delivering media solutions that maximise clients ROI from media investment regardless of the success metric being worked too (clicks, sales, engagement etc)
• Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment
• Support in developing clients business, matching resource to clients’ needs and pulling in resource where needed from other departments to drive incremental revenue
• Manage direct reports (Planning Manager), and indirectly (dotted line) manage the wider performance channel specialists
• Be a role model for Planning Manager and channel team colleagues, displaying excellence in client servicing and performance planning process and rigor.
• Regular communication and status meetings with specialist teams to ensure an integrated approach across channels and performance for client campaigns.
• Understanding of resource allocation across the team to ensure we are able to provide excellent client service and fulfil tasks/requests in line with agreed deadlines.
• Ensure your team is adhering to all processes within the department and where new processes need to be developed to ensure greater account efficiency – identify improvements and where applicable work with your Manager to implement
• Create fun a fun, collaborative and productive team environment by organising regular social activities, team meetings and knowledge sharing opportunities.
• Manage internal forecasting and profitability for clients, ensuring forecasts are kept up to date each month
• Promote the performance planning product and participate in internal training, projects and new business
• Proactively work with internal teams to build client solutions
• Develop productive relationships with key internal departments and help develop new revenue opportunities through matching client needs to resources and facilitate introductions

The candidate

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • Relevant experience in planning Digital Acquisition Campaigns
  • Experience across Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates and Ecommerce
  • Full comprehensive understanding of the digital marketplace inclusive of ad-tech, attribution and programmatic opportunities
  • Extensive experience of managing teams
  • Strong presentation, strategy and storytelling skills
  • Proven record of driving value for clients and a strong demonstration of commercial understanding
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken
