Performance Planning Director (Entertainment Sector)

The role

The Performance Planning Director leads client performance media strategy, establishing the optimal approach for clients based on their performance KPIs. A unique element of this role is that it involves working with all of our agency client account leads, to bring a greater digital and performance focus to client’s annual campaigns. This offers you the opportunity to build out your team in the Performance Planning department and become a focal part of the agency as we drive digital transformation across clients.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about performance and cross channel planning, and who enjoys moving across different client businesses to learn and develop at pace.

Responsibilities include;

  • Developing channel strategies that drive efficiency and delivery of core client KPIs
  • Create performance media plans that deliver best in class planning, delivered in partnership with data and specialist channel teams – PPC, Performance Content (UX and Content), Affiliates, Display and Social
  • Create media channel testing strategies and roadmaps, working closely with activation specialist teams
  • Full understanding of key platform capabilities (e.g. Google, Facebook, DV360), and an ability to talk independently about opportunities in client meetings and with team
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the media and technology developments that influence performance planning and client’s business
  • Inform clients of innovative opportunities as soon as they are in market
  • Lead non-core client workflows, such as scoping new projects and initiatives e.g. CRO, Analytics, Attribution
  • Develop contact strategy with senior clients; creating strong relationships with key client stakeholders with appreciation of their objectives and different approaches required
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment
  • Promote the performance planning product and participate in internal training, projects and new business
  • Proactively work with internal teams to build client solutions
  • Develop productive relationships with key internal departments and help develop new revenue opportunities through matching client needs to resources and facilitate

The candidate

Requirements for the successful candidate

  • Relevant experience in planning consumer facing Digital Campaigns
  • Experience across Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates and Ecommerce
  • Full comprehensive understanding of the digital marketplace, inclusive of ad-tech and programmatic opportunities
  • Extensive experience of managing teams
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven record of driving value for clients and a strong demonstration of commercial understanding The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken
