Performance Planning Manager

The role

The Performance Planning Manager is a crucial role ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our performance media activations. The role involves working closely with channel specialists to deliver campaigns and drive digital channel performance. This role is perfect for somebody who is passionate about media planning and client management, and who wants to fast track their experience and digital skill set with a retail ecommerce client.

Responsibilities include;

  • Solid knowledge of key platform capabilities (e.g. Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, DV360, Google Analytics), and an ability to talk independently about opportunities in client meetings and with internal teams
  • Manage the briefing process and work flow of the specialist teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of work
  • Drive performance plans that deliver “best in class” planning, delivered in partnership with data and specialist channel teams – PPC, SEO, Affiliates, Display and Social
  • Create media channel testing strategies and roadmaps, working closely with activation specialist teams
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the media and technology developments that influence performance planning and clients business
  • Lead non-core client workflows, such as scoping new projects and initiatives
  • Seamless running of accounts: ‘zero issues policy’, no queries, no missed deadlines
  • Responsible for accuracy and quality of work being produced by all channel teams
  • Responsible for the effective management of finance processes of the team. Ensuring all bookings are on the system correctly and reconciliations are completed on time
  • Passionate about delivering media solutions that maximise clients ROI from media investment regardless of the success metric being worked too (clicks, sales, engagement etc)
  • Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment
  • Support in developing clients business, matching resource to clients’ needs and pulling in resource where needed from other departments to drive incremental revenue
  • Optimise team revenue and profitability through effective management of financial processes
  • Be a role model for channel teams, displaying excellence in client servicing and performance planning process and rigour
  • Create fun: the team should be a fun, collaborative and productive environment to work
  • Promote the performance planning product and participate in internal training, projects and new business
  • Proactively work with internal teams to build client solutions

The candidate

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • Relevant experience in planning Digital Acquisition Campaigns
  • Experience across Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates and Ecommerce
  • Full comprehensive understanding of the digital marketplace inclusive of ad-tech, attribution and programmatic opportunities
  • Strong presentation, strategy and storytelling skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken
