The role

Great opportunity for a talented Account Manager or an eager to learn Senior Exec looking for their next step in digital. Working closely with and reporting into the Account Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of PPC campaigns. From working with the executives and graduates on the account on keyword research and ad copy creation to running daily, weekly and monthly reports this role will work to actively optimise accounts to meet target KPI’s. Regular client communication, presenting in meetings and training/mentoring junior team members are all part of this role.

Attention to detail, excellent time management, strong reporting and data analysis skills are essential for this role. Experience in Google Shopping is required.  Career progression and training opportunities available to the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities include;

  • Own the PPC campaign strategy for one of the agency’s key accounts
  • Ensure all search and media activity is being optimised effectively to meet targets, utilising relevant search management, analytics and ad serving technologies
  • Responsible for developing appropriate search strategies, testing roadmaps and innovation to improve paid search account performance
  • Be the clients ‘go to’ person for all things day to day and account management related
  • Work with internal teams & departments to understand business impact, performance & target
  • Manage and inspire team of account managers and account executives to deliver effective results for clients.
  • Take ownership of briefs from strategy to delivery to ensure objectives are achieved
  • Work with the Account Director to lead all client meetings: PCA’s Quarterly reviews, monthly performance
  • Drive optimization roadmap to performance improvements on all accounts
  • Ensure best practice is adopted across all aspects of PPC accounts

 

The candidate

The ideal person for this position will be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, competitive, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and self-disciplined. We are looking for the following qualities in any candidate;

 

  • Creative Thinker: Innovate and create different solutions for clients.
  • Communicative: Get excited by briefs and show passion when presenting solutions back to clients.
  • Must be able to explain how our media recommendations can make a real difference to businesses.
  • Confident: In presenting, trading and striking deals with media owners.
  • Analytical: Of course, a good planner will possess amazing technical, numerical and interpretative skills, and be able to draw conclusions and react to any data results and reports.
  • Stickler for detail: Monitor media schedules sent to clients across the team.
  • Practical: A ‘doer’, but with an instinct for what can really be achieved when planning and buying plans.

 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in media planning and buying agencies
  • Currently in a role that involves fully integrated comms and all channel planning and buying
  • A thorough working knowledge of the current media market landscape and be fluent in their ability to communicate this to clients
  • A strong understanding of campaign evaluation knowing how to set and measure against both media, brand and business KPIs
  • Advanced experience with key planning tools such as Touchpoints, Comscore, RACE, YouGov, Kantar Tgi, Nielson, GA, Google Trends
  • Excellent time management skills, both of yourself and others
