The role

About The Role

We have one go-to person for every client, meaning they have one contact they need to call. We only recruit highly talented, ambitious account people, with solid communications planning experience, who will understand fully the client’s business and offer sound business changing media solutions.

Teams such as content, strategy, data, social, programmatic, PPC and TV will support and work closely with you and the team, to deliver expert and integrated plans for our clients. We have built our account service structure around this, and know how much clients love to work this way. Your role will sit within one of these account verticals and you will contribute to the relationships we hold with those clients.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining a strong working relationship with clients and internal teams

Ensuring we are continually considered an extension of the marketing team

Understanding your client’s category

Add value with your opinions

Demonstrate an ability to make recommendation that will positively impact their business

Mentor and give day to day guidance to less experience team members

Recognise new trends and introduce new media opportunities within your planning

Define the role for media within campaign strategies

Work with specialist teams to deliver cohesive, fully integrated cross channel plans

Clearly communicate to clients how the channels with work with each other

Understanding of how both individual and campaign KPIs will be used to measure success

Source and recommend suitable performance benchmarks against KPIs

Build, test and learn opportunities into your planning when relevant

Present cross-channel plans to clients

Manage media bookings and finance processes

Oversee campaign reporting

Ensure the best recommendations for optimising and adjusting campaigns are made

Coordinate and lead regular client calls and meetings

Create and oversee best practice central account management processes

The candidate

About The Candidate

‌The ideal person for this position will fit with the company culture. They will be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, competitive, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and self-disciplined.

You’ll be expected to be heavily involved in the media planning and buying, spanning from contributing to the overall strategic direction to taking lead on writing the supporting detailed media plans. Great organisation, internal and external team coordination skills, a passion for client servicing and making the complex simple will be critical.

Key Qualities

Creative Thinker: Innovate and create different solutions for clients.

Communicative: Get excited by briefs and show passion when presenting solutions

Must be able to explain how our media recommendations can make a real difference to businesses

Confident: In presenting, trading and striking deals with media owners

Analytical: A good planner will possess amazing technical, numerical and interpretative skills

Stickler for detail: Monitor media schedules sent to clients across the team

Be able to draw conclusions and react to any data results and reports

Practical: A ‘doer’, but with an instinct for what can really be achieved when planning and buying plans

Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in media planning and buying agencies

Currently in a role that involved fully integrated comms

A thorough working knowledge of the current media market landscape

Be fluent in your ability to communicate to clients

A strong understanding of campaign evaluation

Knowing how to set and measure against both media, brand and business KPIs

Excellent time management skills, both of yourself and others

Advanced experience with key planning tools such as Touchpoints, ComScore, RACE, YouGov, Kantar Tgi, Nielson, GA, Google Trends
