The role

About The Role

The global head of media buying and operations will have full ownership of all trading and media operations teams across all digital media channels, supporting the global CEO and regional commercial leadership on executing global growth strategies, aligning goals to strategies and balancing short term delivery and mid to long term transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing and redefining the structure for media trading across N. America, EMEA and APAC

Building out technical account management functions (TAM)

Growing team competencies, including bringing in new talent in line with growth & revenue

Managing all regional trading and TAM leads as direct reports

Identify key competencies and develop a behavioural capability framework for traders

Development of the Traders using that framework for Traders at all levels of experience

Providing mentorship and training to the leads of Trading and TAM functions

Developing and refining compensation structure in line with new products and services

Define, develop and implement process improvements

Building a team to deliver on trading strategy and commercial objectives

Take a senior leading role in relationships with our main DSPs

Ensuring supply chain quality

Mange traders, media operations and public partnership functions

Drive efficiencies across the media, trading and TAM functions

Keep all global management stakeholders abreast of industry developments

Work closely with the global CEO and regional sales leads to define pricing and best practice

Work with product and engineering heads to develop our approach into new areas

Manage key relationships, both internal and external

We are offering an attractive salary range in GBP/USD depending on experience and location. In addition to this, we have a compelling commission structure linked to the achievement of targets.

The candidate

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate must be able to operate effectively in a high-growth, and at times ambiguous, environment and have a proven track record of scaling teams and processes quickly while ensuring mid/long term success and stability in programmatic trading environments. The candidate is both operationally focused and a natural people manager, able to accommodate a wide range of cultural, regional and personality types while building teams and capabilities.

Key attributes

8+ years in ad tech companies

Large proportion of time at high growth companies in programmatic trading and operations

Demonstrable track record of helping grow and sustain trading and ad operations teams

Excellent people leadership and management skills, ideally in a pan-regional or global capacity

Demonstrable organisation and project management skills and competencies

Deep understanding of how they might be harnessed to drive client performance and company profitability

It would be of added benefit if the candidate has working knowledge and experience in paid search and social delivery.
