The role

You will be focused on a selection of clients within the group, with client facing responsibilities. You’ll be involved in both the media planning and the buying, in particular leading recommendations involving the use of digital media channels, co-ordinating and writing the supporting detailed media plans and working with channel specialists (search, social, programmatic) to oversee the activation of the plans.

 

  • You’ll be a lead client contact –maintaining a strong working relationship and ensuring we are continually considered as an extension of the marketing team
  • You’ll understand your client’s category, add value with your opinions and demonstrate an ability to make recommendations that will positively impact their businesses
  • Identify, forecast & introduce new trends &media opportunities within your planning
  • Define the role for digital media channels within campaign strategies
  • Coordinate specialist teams to deliver cohesive, fully-integrated cross-channel plans & clearly communicate to clients how the channels will work together
  • Write and present cross-channel plans, working with non-digital planners to make sure our approach to campaigns is consistent across channels
  • Recommend how both individual channel overall campaign KPIs will be used to measure the success of your plans
  • Be able to source and recommend suitable performance benchmarks against KPIs set
  • Recommend test and learn opportunities within your planning as standard
  • Work in partnership with the account lead to ensure the account is run smoothly. Bring your own best practise processes into the team to improve effectiveness where relevant
  • Contribute to the overall upskilling of digital knowledge of the broader account team

The candidate

  • Agency experience in media planning and buying agencies
  • Currently in a role that involves account management, digital channel planning & buying as part of a fully-integrated media planning approach
  • A working knowledge of the current media market landscape and be fluent in their ability to communicate this to clients
  • A pro-active attitude towards identifying and developing opportunities in media channels that future proof our planning
  • A comprehensive understanding of the evolving nature of data compliance and its implications for media planning
