The company

We are the largest independent media agency in the UK. We have won multiple awards for our campaigns, and we believe that investment in our people is an investment in our agency’s future.

The role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced paid search specialist, who will be responsible for day-to-day management of accounts. You will receive support and direction from a more senior member of the team but will otherwise take ownership of 2-3 PPC accounts.

You will be responsible for your account’s performance, strategic development and account development. This is a client facing role with the support of a wider client team.

Responsibilities;
• Conceive, develop and/or oversee PPC strategy for your given accounts.
• Keep your clients up to date on major industry and platform developments.
• Respond to ad-hoc client requests in a prompt fashion.
• Project manage delivery of a PPC roadmap for your clients.
• Confidently present analysis, updates and strategic recommendations in face-to-face meetings.
• Work with the wider client and specialist teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Seek opportunities to collaborate with media owners and third parties in developing innovative campaigns for clients.
• Keep up-to-date with PPC industry trends and developments, product releases and new tech.
• Set the objectives and provide ongoing support for at least one other junior team member.
• Be responsible for training and development of at least one other junior team member.
• Be accountable for best-in-class work delivered on your accounts.

The candidate

The ideal person for this position will be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, competitive, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and self-disciplined. Agility, flexibility, enthusiasm and detail are also important aspects within the role.

 

We are looking for the following qualities in any candidate:

Analytical: Amazing technical, numerical and interpretative skills, with the ability to draw conclusions and optimise against platform datasets.

Practical: A ‘doer’, with an instinct for what can really be achieved when planning, implementing and delivering analytics and insight activity.

Visionary: Someone who can look beyond the obvious models of response and provide a fresh way to interpret data through innovative solutions.

Collaborative: The ability to work with other teams and personnel in the agency from Digital, Strategy and Comms will be a key part of the success of the role.

 

  • A track record of working on PPC accounts with annual budgets in excess of £500k, either as a senior account executive or account manager
  • Evidence of delivering exceptional performance through solid analysis, further recommendation and first-class execution
  • Proven ability to use Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and SA360 platforms at an advanced level, including optimal use of automated bidding strategies
  • A solid knowledge of industry best practice versus Google best-practice –and the right balance between the two
  • A solid experience of managing Google shopping campaigns and recommending improvements to data feeds
  • Experience in 3rd party tracking solutions including the Google tech stack (SA360 and GA)
  • A good understanding of analytics and attribution within Google Ads, GA and SA360
  • Experience directly managing clients and presenting
