The role

This role is responsible for providing guidance into the company’s media implementation and investment plans. This involves creating and leading implementation of category sourcing strategy that delivers tangible results.
Key responsibilities:
  • Proactively manages global supplier relationships to deliver cost, quality & cash results and to drive continuously improvement.
  • Supports senior management in Marketing and Business with relevant intel and input to build annual operation plans and to implement media as per marketing governance and strategies.
  • Develops digital media KPI’s together with Marketing and digital functions and implements TCO approach on digital. Bring full transparency and drive the development of accountability, value delivery and waste reduction measurement and reporting in digital media.
  • Drive innovation programs in your category to continually search for cost saving opportunities, new technologies, new services and new
  • Establishes and analyses performance metrics in order to evaluate (supplier) performance.
  • Manages central/international and if relevant local pitches and tenders, negotiates & contracts and implementation.  suppliers that contribute to the overall strategy of the business.

The candidate

The ideal candidate will be an open minded, creative and entrepreneurial professional who is energised by creating top line value. Next to that is capable of building and managing a strong supplier base, driving best results in close collaboration with Marketing and Market teams.
Key Skills:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Media. With relevant background experience in Media agency side, consultant and/or Media Procurement
  • An excellent track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results”
  • Successful experience of working with cross functional teams ‘speaks the language of Marketing’
  • International experience in global companies
  • Excellent communication, networking and influencing skills.

The company

This is a start-up company under the umbrella of a massive UK organisation which is a FTSE top 50 company. They have serious backing!
They’re small but growing fast and have an impressive, senior, leadership team in place to cover all areas of the business and grow in line with aggressive, realistic expansion plans.
They are the brainchild of a few core people within the UK automotive industry with money, experience, vision and ambition.
They currently comprise a hand picked leadership team of 7 people who are all building up their own teams. One of which is ‘marketing”: and that’s the division we’re working with.
Offices in Surrey and you’d need to be able to drive or cycle there as it’s a bit remote.

The role

The Online Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and developing the company’s digital media marketing strategy and approach; ensuring that they optimise the appropriate digital channels to enhance brand awareness, increase customer’s engagement and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the digital media channels being responsible for planning and budgetary control of all such channels.
  • Developing, owning and optimising the digital media strategy management to increase brand awareness and drive revenue and growth.
  • Partnering with the Marketing Director and Campaigns Manager to collaborate on, implement and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across the appropriate digital media channels.
  • Developing KPIs for digital media channels/platforms; continuously evaluating and optimising performance for maximum reach while delivering against ROI targets.
  • Providing the Marketing Director with weekly/monthly reports on performance of digital media channels/platform; outlining performance and applicable relevant metrics.
  • Providing strategic input and feedback to the leadership team on relevant trends and insights to optimise their marketing spend and performance, driving the efficiency and effectiveness of all digital media channels.
  • Managing external relationships with media agencies and any other third parties.

The candidate

The ideal Online Marketing Manager will have a proven track record of working in a similar digital media marketing role and will have an excellent working knowledge of digital marketing channels/platforms and analytics to optimise journeys, and reach including PPC and SEO
Key Skills:
  • Demonstrable experience formulating, implementing and executing digital media strategies and campaigns
  • Excellent working knowledge of best practice tools, technologies and processes.
  • A passion for the latest digital media trends and best practices, and a desire to influence and drive the digital marketing agenda
  • An understanding of working in a rapid growing start-up and/or the automotive industry is an added bonus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate and present ideas/strategies to different audiences and a passion for finding solutions to enhance performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. A good influencer with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.

  • Develop and deliver a CRM / re-targeting plan to keep in contact with past (lost) pitches
  • Develop an approach for opportunistic new business opportunities
  • Managing all RFI and RFP proposals
  • Help co-ordinate and manage pitches – support on best-in-class process and production of pitch materials in collaboration with the brand team
  • Work with the company’s brand team to develop new agency credentials, case studies and new business collateral.

The ideal New Business Manager will agency experience in a marketing role. Key Skills:
