The role

The Planning Director leads client strategy, translating business objectives into marketing goals and establishing the optimal media approach to meet our KPIs. The role is to manage the entire 
Digital Acquisition output from client servicing, DR strategy, integrated acquisition planning and 
technology innovation to team management.  
 
The role involves working closely with channel specialists to deliver campaigns and drive digital 
channel performance. Line management responsibility for Planning Manager, and with dotted 
management into channel specialist team colleagues. This role is perfect for somebody who is 
passionate about media planning and client management, and who enjoys moving across 
different client businesses, therefore being exposed to different sectors, skills and approaches. 

The candidate

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • Relevant experience in planning Digital Acquisition Campaigns
  • Experience across Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates and Ecommerce
  • Full comprehensive understanding of the digital marketplace inclusive of ad-tech, attribution and programmatic opportunities
  • Extensive experience of managing teams
  • Strong presentation, strategy and storytelling skills
  • Proven record of driving value for clients and a strong demonstration of commercial
  • understanding
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken

    The role

    ​ A successful candidate would become an integral member of our AV department. Our AV team are driven, forward thinking and challenge themselves to deliver bespoke broadcast strategies for their clients no matter what the budget. The ideal candidate is motivated and can motivate clients to believe in great broadcast plans including bespoke video buys, big brand campaigns and performance led campaigns for some of our most exciting clients. They would need to be capable of delivering best in class audit results whilst maintaining good relationships with the TV stations.

     

    Responsibilities include;

    • Be a lead member within the team, positioned as a key point of contact for both clients and internal client teams.​
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the clients’ business and build a good relationship with the client and key stakeholders.
    • Be a trusted expert and comfortable leading communication and presentations.​
    • Work closely with internal client teams to efficiently deliver strong and clear TV, VOD, YouTube and Sponsorship recommendations, reports and campaign analysis.​
    • Full management and overseeing of accounts.
    • Control overall performance and delivery against core deals, audit criteria, reccie positions and finance; having confidence to lead and support the wider team, department and agency as necessary.​
    • Supporting team members with day to day activities and development, illustrating best practice in monitoring campaigns and ensuring delivery against required metrics.​
    • Forge strong working relationships with senior media owners, use developed negotiation skills to deliver value for clients and push for competitive advantage in a challenging marketplace.​

    The candidate

    You are likely to have at least 5 years of Broadcast experience, be passionate, ambitious and curious. You will need to demonstrate:

    • Experience in planning TV and online video for a variety of clients
    • Ability to think strategically and look for creative solutions to briefs
    • Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail and time management
    • Written and verbal presentation skills

      The role

      • Support the Digital Campaign Manager with the combined search strategy, execution, and performance -combining the latest on-page, off-page, and SEO techniques to deliver outstanding results
      • Support the Digital Campaign Manager with paid search strategy to support content campaigns and drive conversion, and ensure the combined search approach remains cost-effective with SEO and PPC working together
      • Conduct technical audits, competitor benchmarking, keyword and audience research, social listening, link building, landing page optimisation, structured data/schema markup, core web vitals improvements, forecasting, reporting and analysis
      • Support content strategy, gap analysis, recommendations, and optimisation to maximise organic visibility and attract the right audiences
      • Help define the appropriate KPIs and measurement tactics for reporting SEO and PPC efforts and support the team in monitoring ongoing performance
      • Collaborate with the Website Manager, providing the guidance and support that enables them to optimise website performance
      • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager, providing insight from search data to help inform their content strategy
      • Collect and analyse data from different sources and tools ensuring strategies, recommendations and actions are informed by data whenever possible
      • Collaborate and share initiatives, best practices and results with the wider team to increase agency knowledge and build successful relationships
      • Proactively keep up to date with the latest search trends, technology, innovations, and algorithm changes, and ensure they are communicated and applied as appropriate

      The candidate

      • Hands-on expert in SEO principles and best practice from both a technical and content perspective
      • Demonstrable track record of running high performance SEO campaigns that meet or exceed KPIs
      • High level of competence with SEO tools and analytics platforms, including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Bing Ad Platform and keyword research tools
      • Extensive knowledge and experience of marketing campaigns: paid search, conversion optimisation and web analytics essential, but experience in programmatic and paid social preferred
      • Experienced in developing and presenting performance reports using analytics tools
      • Able to communicate and present even complex technical topics clearly and confidently, including compiling high-quality client documentation (proposals, presentations, reports etc
      • Self-motivated, committed, and organised, with high standards, attention to detail, and structured working practices
